The Decoration of Time

It’s been almost a year since I last changed the appearance of Easily Aroused. I’d meant to do it when the five-year anniversary came around, but given that the choice of included themes over here at WordPress.com was a little too limited for my tastes, I resisted the temptation to change things for the sake of changing them.

My foster home here has been good to me, taking me in when I decided to give up my own web space. But if truth be told, I’ve missed the autonomy that comes with self-hosting, and so I’ve taken the plunge once again. I’ll be leaving this version of Easily Aroused intact until the end of the month, and then it’s going to be deleted. There will be no new posts made here after this one, so if you want to keep reading me, you’ll need to re-point your web browser to:

And if you’ve been good enough to include a link to my blog on your own site, then I respectfully request that you change it to the same URL.

See you on the other side….

I almost didn’t bother mentioning this, but in the end, I thought: What the hell. It’s a reasonably significant event. And something of an achievement, too. So here goes.

It’s exactly five years since Easily Aroused first appeared. Happy birthday to me.

I plan on doing something special to celebrate half a decade of relatively creative filth. Once I know what that is, I’ll let you all know too.

~EA

Edit:

Thank you to all those who’ve taken the time to send me their best wishes – they’re all much appreciated. For those who are interested in reading the work from my archives, check out EA in Print. As a bonus, here are a couple of check out codes you can use at Lulu.com to bring the price of your purchases down:

VOLCANO: 10% off the total price of your order

FREEMAILUK305: £2.99 towards the cost of postage

Unfortunately, the codes can’t be used in combination with each other, or any other offers.

Bonne Année

For those who think I’ve been rather inactive on the writing front for a while … you’re absolutely right. I’ve been sat on my duff, eating and drinking heartily, singling merrily, and dancing like a man with legs of uneven length and pants full of ants. Writing of any sort has been the last thing on my mind. In fact, I’ve gone out of my way not to be left alone with a keyboard. I even considered selling my house just so I wouldn’t have to go in my study this month.

Alas, my reticence where writing was concerned was bound to dry up eventually. A little while ago, a fellow blogger mentioned that she was about to celebrate her blogiversary, and she asked if I would consider writing something to mark the occasion. And being a man who doesn’t like disappointing women, I said I’d try and come up with a suitable piece.

So if you’d like to read it, you’ll need to take a little trip over to From There To Here, where you can read my new tale of Eros, The Falls.

In the meantime … a happy, successful and – most importantly of all – peaceful New Year to you all.

PresenceI wish that you would look at me now. I am willing you to look at me now, over her body, rocking with the motion of her mouth. But you do not.

Fucking for ArtThe proximity of their nakedness and my scrutiny resulted in this beautiful agony of arousal for them both. I asked if they would feel comfortable doing some poses of vaginal penetration for me, and they readily agreed.

From Conception to Completion

NaNoWriMo

As you can see from the graphic standing proudly ovehead, I did it.

On November 1st, I sat staring at a blank screen, with a head half-filled with a vague idea of a story and a few pages of notes I’d scribbled on a boring train journey six months ago. At 9pm on November 30th, I typed the word ‘with’. I’d be the first to admit it’s not the most spectacular of words. It certainly wasn’t the first time I’d typed it this month. But what made that particular ‘with’ a rather remarkable word was the fact that it was the fifty thousandth word I’d typed since I started working on “The Sisters” some thirty days before.

It’s not all glory though. I’ve completed 50000 words, which was the challenge I accepted from the bods at NaNoWriMo … but I haven’t completed “The Sisters” yet. I’ve still got quite a few thousand words ahead of me. Maybe as many as another 50000. And without NaNoWriMo pushing me to produce an average of 1667 words a day, it may take me a little while to get the first draft of the story completed.

And then there will be the second draft.

Oh my – what have I started?

The Tale of the Bleeding Fingertips

I have a confession: I’m afraid that I won’t be doing much – if any – new writing for the blog this month.

Before you decide to make me attend the Headmaster’s (or Mistress’ – I’d much prefer that option) I do have a good excuse. At least, I think it’s a good excuse. I’ve entered NaNoWriMo.

For those unfamiliar with the term, it stands for National Novel Writing Month. On November 1st 1999, twenty-one people committed themselves to write a 50000 word novel by midnight on November 30th. Six of them succeeded. It’s taken place every year since. On November 1st 2008, 119,301 people committed themselves to the same goal; 21,683 succeeded.

This year, I’ve chucked my hat in the ring too.

As the organisers say, this is about quantity, not quality. The idea is to force yourself to forgo the endless tweaking and micro-editing that normally happens. Just get the first draft out there, the crap as well as the good stuff, and then edit and revise in December.

So I’m not going to have a great deal of time for other work this month, I’m afraid. The going rate for a successful entrant is 1667 words a day. Today is day seven, and by midnight GMT, I’m supposed to have written 11667 words. At the time of writing (7.05pm GMT) I’m at 11019, so I’ve a bit of work to do yet. I won’t dally any longer then.

If you’re interested to know more about the project, pop on over to www.nanowrimo.org. And if you want to keep tabs on how I’m doing, my profile page is available to read here.

(By the way, my novel is tentatively called ‘The Sisters’ – and it’s a tale of lust, betrayal, infidelity and revenge. And yes, it will have lots of sex)

Zealous Kisses

Finally. I’ve been talking about it for quite some time now, but I can finally deliver on all those hints and promises. ‘Zealous Kisses’ – the companion piece to my first book, ‘Compulsive Ardour’ – is finally available to buy from Lulu.com. More than twenty salacious tales and vignettes to set your pulse racing and kick your erotic imagination into overdrive.

ZK-Front-Cover-Master-small

It’s available either as a soft-cover book or as a direct download – so for those who would like to have the complete EA archives from 2005 to 2009 close to hand, here’s your opportunity.

I hope that you enjoy it.
